We opened Ravenna Rocks in 2023 with a carefully curated, diverse collection of crystals, minerals, gifts, crafts, and souvenirs. In the short time since, we've been overwhelmed by how much our neighbors have welcomed us in. It seems like a lot of you had been missing East West Book Shop as much as we had, and it's been lovely to bring some of that energy back to the neighborhood.
Ravenna Rocks is a small brick-and-mortar crystal shop in Northeast Seattle, tucked into the old Silhouette Antiques building right in front of Roosevelt High School. We're neighborhood locals. We bought this building and opened this shop because we wanted to preserve a piece of the neighborhood's history and bring some good vibes back to the block.
When we first moved to Ravenna, we fell in love with Silhouette Antiques and the other small businesses nearby. The building itself has been part of this corner of the neighborhood since 1912, when it opened as Jewel Grocery. It passed through a couple more grocers over the years before Lucille Mroczek turned it into Silhouette Antiques in 1980. Lucille ran the shop for almost forty years, raising seven kids in the attached residence, until she passed away in September 2020. The name came from a silhouette portrait made of her at eighteen, which hung on the sign out front. Silhouette Antiques was like a warm, welcoming place to wander into, and we were sad to see it close when she passed. So we decided to buy the building ourselves, restore it, and turn it into something the community could gather around again.

In the shop
Inside, you'll find rocks and minerals in every shape and color, carved crystals (hearts and cats are a favorite), fossils, jewelry from local silversmiths, books and educational materials, and home décor. We also carry a great selection of cross-stitch and embroidery supplies, because we could never do just one thing.
Our staff loves helping people find the right crystal for whatever they're looking for, whether that's a specific healing property, a themed gift, or just something beautiful to bring home. Kids and pets are always welcome.
We take sourcing seriously. Our rocks, minerals, and fossils come from a mix of direct relationships with miners, ethical suppliers, and independent rockhounds, and we prioritize small-scale and fair-trade sources wherever we can. That includes a solid selection of specimens sourced right here in the Pacific Northwest. The crystal trade is a complicated one. We don't claim to have it all figured out, but we keep working at sourcing responsibly and being transparent about where things come from.
Happened upon Ravenna Rocks organically. Super sweet place, great location incredible vibe and friendly patient service with a great selection. I left the " you need to calm down" because I think every one needs to see this.

A really cute shop with rocks of every shape and size imaginable for any kind of budget. There are some pretty spectacular specimens to admire as well as afforable pieces to take home. A great little place to stop by when I'm in town. I'll definitely be back!
I love this shop. The owners are super nice and helpful. Josh even stayed way past closing one night to let me look around and help me find what I needed - I really appreciate that. There is fantastic selection of crystals, books, rocks, jewelry, and other cool and fun things. :)
Great spot, filled with surprises. We have visited several times and will continue to do so. The owners are awesome. You can spend an hour looking around and you won't see everything.

Ravenna Refills shares this building with us: it's the other half of it. In January 2025 we opened Refills in the space where the building's previous owner used to live, as a refillery and eco-home goods store. Think refillable soaps, detergents, and shampoos, plus plastic-free and reusable alternatives to the disposable stuff we all use every day.
